Forward testing

There were some significant news announcements that allowed this EA to close off buy trades in profit for each of the opened trades.

The price for GBPJPY is the highest it has been for 9 years and it has surprised me that all the newly entered trades once again are long.

Time will tell but I would be surprised if these trades prove to be successful.

The interest rate o jpy are still the same so we could think that this trend is to mantain. But I'm going to change the EA to enter trades based on EMA20 and EMA100 as show in proposed trading strategies.

I believe that is a safest way to place trades at this point.

And yes, at this point I believe that your trades are going to be profitable.

ForexForum,

You should check the result returned when you use OrderModify like you do with OrderClose. OrderModify returns an error very frequently in your EA (i.e. it doesn't modify the order) and thus your EA doesn't behave the way you probably intended. One example (but not the only one) is setting the InitialStop to something other than 0. Looking at the chart it is clear that many trades go way beyond this stop. IMHO the initial stop should be set right in OrderSend.

Currently the EA allows for very big drawdowns although you dont always see it on the equity graph (but you can check it from within the code).

I think this is a good EA as is - but if you make a new version I will add it to test.

The current version has made 28 trades since I started it on a $5000 FXDD demo account on 12/17 trading .5 lots it is up $412 in closed trades. It has had no losses and many trades closed at 0 profit - some of the 0 profit trades however did collect swap. If the 0 trades could just collect a couple bucks each time it would be even better... But I would not complain with these results!

Thanks again for sharing....

I will be back at this one as soon as possible, it need some adjustments to identify trend, I'm thinking in add it a EMA20 and EMA100 cross.

This eA is for GBPJPY only, and that part of closed trades at BE is on purpose to collect swap

You have to add the "m" on the end of the symbol

Samuray V.3

Here it is version 3 of this pip machine

Added EMA's filter, so when turned true it can be for very long time without trade until the conditions are met again.

as long as GBPJPY keeps rising...

Any sugestion to a trend identifier to disable Samuray of placing new orders when trend is inverting?

Just with EMA20 and EMA100 i think that it could be late...
