Big Surprise!

Well I've got a big big surprise today...

I was deleting demo accounts, I by mistake I've entered one account that I had open prior to the current on test...

that was a big surprise... It was with $500 profit, and the Ea was not monitoring it... on a $5.000 deposit trading 0.4 + 0.8 Lots!!!! And this on 2 F***G days!

I attach a statment here so you can check... This had freak me out... we need a trailler for this one, and a very good MM routine. If it goes all way up, it can go all way down too

New version 5.4

On this version you do not the indicator, it is build in on the expert.

It has Bollinger Bands, as a filter to enter the hedge, and support for micro accounts.

This filter is on the begining of development and you should only use it with the default pairs.

ForexForum,

How would you suggest we use the EA settings UseCorrelation, MinCorrelation, and MaxCorrelation?

Correlation and Bollinger filters

Thanks! But it is not only my work, as you can see inside the EA it is the work of several people

I hope you all enjoy this EA, and I hope we can make a very good one!

Regarding Correlation, the main idea behind the EA, is to take advantage of the "almost perfect" correlation. We take the profit on the "almost" part.

There are two aproaches, or enter the hedge when the correlation is "perfect" and take the profit on the divergence, or the oposite. Enter when the currencys are apart, and when they correlate again, take the profit.

We are studing this so, as soon as I have an update on this and on Bollinger filter I'll poste here

Lightbulb Triangular Arbitrage

What do you think about adding a triangular arbitrage to the EA, as a special feature. We are monitoring two correlated pair, so we can determine the virtual (in defaults), GBPCHF and place a trade if there is a significant diference to the real GBFCHF.

This can be done if we assume the this last pair is lagging behind the two first ones. Is this possible? anyone has studied this?

This order must have a pre-defined TP and maybe a SL ... come on dump your ideas here.

Just to give a boost to our EA!

Great topic and strategy! OK, If I understand the strategy right and apply bb entry it will enter long gbpjpy and short chfjpy if the gbpchf goes below 20,2 bb. Why not enter a single long gbpchf position? It's the same thing as go long gbpjpy and short chfjpy. The netto swap is the same and no hassle with hedge ratio since it always perfect. This is the way I trade the GMT hedge and it works perfekt

Hedge EA Version 5.7

Here you have another version 5.7. The last corrections are:

v5.5 10-30-06 added short/long option that was missing by cturner
v5.6 10-30-06 added Autotrade, to stop entering automatic after exit, by kokas
v5.7 31-10-06 MM routine corrected, by kokas (fully support of micro accounts)

Happy tradings

Regarding BB, we are still developing this entry filter. And yes you are correct. As it is implemented in the code it will enter the hedge if the actual price is below middle BB (I think).
