Subject: [MT_E and I] Has any one seen this Grid builder thread?
I just looked at this thread posted earlier here by Christian - Looks vaguely promising, Its by a guy named Willama. http://www.forexpeacearmy..com/forex...ng-system.html
Someone has made an EA for that alread (Attached) But I dont think the ea yet confirms to what the author outlined as the system
Can any of us here make an EA conforming to the author's ideas?
Warm Regards

the same time, it's not a Ron Popeil type EA.
I see no reason why someone couldn't code the whole idea in to an EA though.

| | Guest | RE: [MT_E and I] Has any one seen this Grid builder thread? I read most of the thread, as I find it very interesting, and apparently
this version of the EA is not quite correct according to the strategy. If
you read a page or two after the EA was posted, you'll see williama
mentioned that the EA does not place trades correctly and then sent a better
explanation of the strategy. I don't have the time to find the bugs in here
at the moment, but basically it amounts to the following, and if some-one
can code it and send it here for testing, it would be great!!
Basicall the rules are as follows:
At a given time / price, work out the 3 levels up and down, and open 6
pending orders - 3 buy at the top, and 3 sell at the bottom, so you have the
levels:
Top3
Top2
Top1
Middle (current Price)
Bottom1
Bottom2
Bottom3
Now when price hits any of the levels, open another pending order (he
indicated at twice the price of the original order) at every one of the
other levels - including the middle one, if you want to. He didn't indicate
whether the middle should be buy or sell, but I assume if price hit Top1,
then it would have to be a sell stop, otherwise it would have to be a buy
limit, and he did not talk about any limit orders.
I think this holds a lot of promise. Thomas / Turbano, maybe we can try to
fix this?
Hope that helps!!
Regards
Eben

| | Guest | RE: [MT_E and I] Has any one seen this Grid builder thread? Is this in any way similar to the FX Trap EA that someone had posted here about a year ago?* I see that he had mentioned "trapping" the price in a certain way, which seems to be a similar setup to the FX Trap which also tried to trap price with multiple orders.* Can't remember the author of FX Trap though.
