Re: [MT_E and I] FXI-Beta
Ah I see.
For some reason during my update to sp3 not long ago, I never came across that option that I can remember to have defender installed but that's ok. I am happy for now without having it, and it appears that has saved me some grief with installs as you described
Thanks for the info

No you can have Defender also in Xp is an update option. He checks all files .
Not 100% because Vundo virus still gets in, but that changes filenames all the time.
But you get a mesage then send file to MS.

No I do not have defender running, and actually I am not sure i have even seen it other than on my wife's laptop running vista.
Maybe you were talking about vista instead of xp?

Depends on the file activation/protection system....
If it is switched on its very good for virus protection.
But I presume you don't have Windows defender running then?

When you have SP2 SP3 on XP youhave to ake sure file protection is deactived.
Because any file that is copied in the system folder will be removed or disabled by Windows
as it thinks it is a virus or so.
There is a way that you can register he files so they will not be harmed or disabled by Windows
But that you have to lookup in the MDSN techzone of Microsoft.
Even whe the version of a fle chances windows will replace it again with the prevoios version.
Because all system files are stored in CAB files. Every now and then XP verifies if all files are still
exactly the same. If on has a different version number or file size it will replace the file with the one from the CAB
files.
This is really complex and since you are using an installer program you have to build in that procedure in to register
thes changed version if you copy them in the folder.
Because it is possible you install the program it works one hour and XP checked he files and it will not work anymore.
In SP! that did not excisted then it only excists since SP2 SP3.
Put this link in your browser, you see what I mean and it is complex to solve.

Tested very well in backtest, i had to revise my hedging strategy it was emptying demo accounts in a matter of hours.
I can tell you this, this ea has potential as long as you have a reasonable amount and trade with the very lowest/minimum lot size.
attach it to a 5 min chart. dont use more than 4 pairs,
the best way is to identify a moving pair then run the ea against it, when the pair slows down find another one continue to identify fast moving pairs and rotate, keeping a maximum of 3 pairs.
minimum 1 (recommended) .

Ok,
Since all the base code is already there here is the new ea which should be tested as well.
Its FXI-Beta
What is FXI-Beta?
FXI-Beta is a scalping tool, yes it simply scalp the market and it has the decence of stop trading if the market is down.
In order for fxi-beta to be successful, it simply requires a market that will move at least 35 pips in whatever direction, if it is a ranging market moving up and down at least 35pips then this ea will harvest a lot of pips. If you know any tools that can tell the volatility of the market i will be interested.
How to install?
Simply download this fie and unzip it.
rename the .fxi file to .exe and install.
open chart (5 minute charts) and use the template fxi-beta.
wait for your account to grow, this is a demo ea only.
keep your takeprofit pips very low.
post your results, and any comments/suggestion s let chris or me know.

Re: [MT_E and I] FXI-Beta
To Empryean Software,
I ran the FXI beta version w/ default setting except the Account.Pips.Factor=1.
I started w/ $20,000, Alpari, 0.1 lot 1 pip =$1. The EA won most of the time but only need 1 time lost to take it to negative P/L. It look like after 6 or 7 time of martigale level trying to recover its lost, it ran out of margin with an order of 13.30 lot. It was negative P/L around $1800s, and - 1700s as I am typing this.
*
So I think overall it will kill the account sooner or later.
*
Best regards.

Re: [MT_E and I] FXI-Beta
0.10 is too high for 20.000 capital.
everytime you hedge you are using marging also.... it will kill you.
I had an account 140k 0.4 lots in martingale witf FXpromaker ... wiped the account till 56 because the next order 64 lots he could not place, no money..
Martingale is good but always make you calculations, depends also on the leverage and how much to broker minimum requiers.
Nobody makes those calculation ... they just hope it will work out .... no it kills you even when the EA is perfect.
Don't blame the EA blame youself because you did not calculte homuch minimum money you needed.
If you did, you did not have these problems ....
People never learn first learn all parameters and requirements, don't think It will be okay. Can be for weeks, months, Whoops.
Question Tihon, did you calclutate howmany times you could double and howmuch margin taken in account the account leverage?
I know some peole who do on another forum the laugh also every time they see a message as this.
If you wanna win in FX study, calculate, analyse evertrade afterwards made also wit EA. See what indicators they are using and check if parameters would have been changed it would have been better or worse.
Can't believe some people, my first stupid EA I made makes 40% a week. I'm not discussing it anymore since they don't believe even when you publish resulst live. So EA is out of the questions .. but learn before you start. Don't drive the car before reading the manual.
Simpel.
I.m working on a new EA togheter now with another guy. These results will be published live with live money account.
And all questions demands can I's where can I download (the ones who drop of Google transporter and don't read) all answers will NJET NADA NO WAY.
Such a disrecpectfull bunch I never ever seen in my live, not all of you I have some good contact made from here.
But today I got an e-mail you are using fxpromaker and autpilot can you make me a copy for 20$.
From one of the memebers here, knowing that in the USA copyright infringement can cost you a fine 30.000$
Where is this world going to guys.
FXpromaker is a good EA don't be gready or it kills you.
In my case I did do it on purpose because the maximum losts should have been .02 and I made .04.
So as my mistake, but human nature tends to be gready. In FX it kills you.
If I was real it would have bee .01 lots. 100k at the broker and you have 5+% and you are not happy ... sorry
Try the world of Second Life, maybe more luck there. Here everbody want with 100$ to retire 2 months later.
Get a live.

It look like after 6 or 7 time of martigale level trying to recover its lost, it ran out of margin with an order of 13.30 lot. It was negative P/L around $1800s, and - 1700s as I am typing this.
So I think overall it will kill the account sooner or later.
Best regards.

Re: [MT_E and I] FXI-Beta
Hello Jim,
Do you let the EA running 24hr ? Your acct started out w/ $5000 but
somehow never get margin call. Your max ordered lot was 4.8, mine was
7.4 before running out of money for a net martingale level 13.3 . But
my demo broker is different to yours.
Warm regards.

Re: [MT_E and I] FXI-Beta
Yes, I run it 24 hrs, but i manually closed all trades on friday before close, regardless of whether they were in profit or not.
No I havent gotten margin called, and I haven't even gotten close that I have noticed. It's gotten a bit worse having the 3 pairs, as audusd and nzdusd were getting a bit out of control, so tonight I shut those two pairs down. I am running it from this point on only with eurusd. Eurusd seems to be making most of the profit anyhow.
Maybe you are running too many pairs at once, or don't have enough capital to cover it. even if mine opened a 13 lot trade, that's only about $950 of margin required, so my 5k - 8k balance can cover that no problem. If that happened on all 3 pairs or more pairs, then yes, a serious problem.
I have posted my results daily, so you can take a look and see what it's done for me. The largest eurusd trade I have seen open has been 7.9 lot or so, if I recall.

Re: [MT_E and I] FXI-Beta
I was over at mike's last night talking trading when he ask me put his system on his wife computer. We copied some indicators and move then to the wife computer with vista on it. Down load a new MT4 platform from the broker and put the indicators in to the expert/indicators file.
Started up the MT4 platform and the indicators were there in the Navigator but when I tried to drag the indicator on to the chart it did not work. So I tried compile the indicators and made no difference. Next I copied the whole platform from his XP computer on to my USB stick and move it to the Vista computer under the program files. Open the platform that we just moved with all of the indicator all ready in the platform and every thing worked. The only thing is when he wants put a new indicator or am expert on to the Vista computer it will not work.

Put this link in your browser, you see what I mean and it is complex to solve.

the issue is that my ea uses dll (c++ code) mainly for reading properties file and creating sessions and global variables.
this dll is called expertsample.dll you will find it in the experts\libraries folder, and it has 2 dependants, msvcr71.dll and msvcp71.dll these two files are copied into windows\system folder (only if you dont have them).
i dont have a quick remedy except to say try copying these two dlls (msvcr71.dll and msvcp71.dll) into your experts\libraries folder and give it a try.

That's interesting. I have a Dell XPS with Vista, and indicators & EAs work just fine on mine (at least I think they are working "correctly", they are working). The only thing I can't do is see some of the MT4 files in explorer, and yes I have turned off the User Account Control, and they still don't show up.
